The medical team at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Al-Khobar succeeded in saving the life of a one-year-old child who was suffering from a heart disease called (Kawasaki). It is a disease that causes the arteries of the heart to dilate and become blocked, and is accompanied by a high temperature. It is considered a rare disease, as the percentage of patients affected by it is 250 per 100,000 cases.

The child had arrived at the hospital and was transferred from one of the hospitals in the peripheral areas of the Eastern Province, where the case was immediately examined by Dr. Yasser Sidqi, a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in heart defects. The clinical and laboratory examination revealed the presence of symptoms of Kawasaki disease in the child, along with a very high temperature. For more than ten days, in addition to the presence of eye inflammation and a skin rash, careful laboratory tests confirmed the diagnosis. Dr. Yasser Sedqi conducted a heart examination of the child and confirmed the diagnosis of the presence of an aneurysm in the heart arteries.

In cooperation with the specialized medical team of consultants and specialists, the treatment plan was immediately started, which requires the rapid administration of immune antibodies in accordance with international medical protocols. After a week of treatment and intensive care, the medical team was able to save the child, his condition completely improved, and he returned to his family safely, and tests confirmed that The doctor made a complete recovery, and thanks to God, he was discharged from the hospital.
