Innovative Fetal Treatment Unveiled at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam
During a routine examination of a pregnant woman at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Qatif, Dr. Sherif Hendawy, a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology, noticed an accelerated fetal heart rate above normal rates. The patient was immediately transferred to Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam for a fetal heart examination.
Dr. Nevine Mamdouh, a pediatric cardiologist, received the pregnant woman and performed a fetal heart examination using ultrasound waves, revealing an atrial tachycardia at a rate of 260 beats per minute, along with heart enlargement, ventricular dysfunction, and valve regurgitation.

Thankfully, the child was born in good health. Dr. Nevine conducted cardiac examinations that confirmed the recovery of the heart muscle, and the child continued treatment for the heart rhythm disorder.
