Successful Arthroscopic Surgery Ends a Patient’s 5-Year Suffering at Mouwasat Hospital Yanbu

Mouwasat Hospital Yanbu received a patient who had been suffering from chronic shoulder pain and spasms for more than five years, without noticeable improvement despite undergoing medication and physiotherapy, in addition to consulting several medical specialties and undergoing detailed examinations including nerve conduction studies and an MRI scan of the shoulder.

Examinations revealed compression of the motor nerve above the shoulder blade, along with narrowing in the passage of the shoulder tendons, which explained the spasms and chronic symptoms she had been experiencing.

After evaluating her condition, the medical team decided to perform a delicate arthroscopic surgical intervention aimed at releasing the nerve and widening the muscle passage, which is considered one of the procedures requiring advanced surgical expertise and high precision.

The operation was performed by Dr. Mohamed Hassan Alsaeed, Consultant Orthopedic Surgery. By the grace and will of God, the surgery was successful, and the patient experienced noticeable improvement in her condition immediately after the procedure.

The patient also expressed her gratitude through a thank-you message to the hospital and the medical team in appreciation of the medical and humane care she received.

By the grace of God first, and then thanks to the efficiency of the medical team and the advanced equipment, suffering that had lasted for years came to an end, allowing the patient to begin a new stage of greater comfort and improved quality of life.

This success reflects Mouwasat Hospital Yanbu’s commitment to providing specialized care for delicate cases through qualified professionals and modern technologies that place the patient’s needs at the forefront of priorities.

Successful Complex Surgery to Remove a Malignant Kidney and Ureter Tumor at Mouwasat Hospital Yanbu

Mouwasat Hospital in Yanbu received a patient suffering from severe pain on the right side, accompanied by urinary retention and blood in the urine, which required a number of medical and diagnostic examinations to determine the cause of the symptoms.

CT scans revealed swelling and enlargement of the right kidney, along with suspicious tissue masses, which required further examinations to determine the nature of these masses and identify the appropriate treatment plan.

To reach an accurate diagnosis before deciding on surgical intervention, the patient underwent an endoscopic procedure using rigid and flexible ureteroscopy. The ureter and the pelvis of the right kidney were accessed, and multiple tissue samples were taken for examination.

Histopathological examination confirmed the presence of a multifocal malignant tissue tumor in the renal pelvis and right ureter, measuring up to 7 cm. This required radical surgical intervention to control the tumor and reduce the possibility of its spread.

The patient underwent a major and delicate surgical procedure during which the right kidney and ureter were removed. After the operation, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where he underwent close medical monitoring, including observation of vital signs and the function of the remaining kidney.

By the grace of God, followed by accurate medical assessment, surgical planning, and the integrated care received by the patient, his condition began to improve noticeably from the fourth and fifth days after surgery. His bowel function returned to normal, and he gradually began eating and drinking. Inflammatory markers also decreased significantly, while the function of the remaining kidney stabilized, with excellent and clear urine output.

By the seventh day, the patient showed significant improvement. He was fully conscious and stable, with no fever, almost no pain, stable gastrointestinal and kidney functions, and a dry and clean surgical wound. He was therefore ready to complete the discharge process after successfully passing through the surgical and recovery stages.

This success was achieved, by the grace of God first, through the integrated efforts of the medical team and coordination among different specialties, alongside the advanced capabilities, equipment, and specialized professionals provided by Mouwasat Hospital to manage complex surgical cases in accordance with the highest standards of medical quality and safety.

Mouwasat Hospital Yanbu received an exceptional case involving a patient with a fracture of the right femoral neck, along with several chronic diseases and multiple health complications. She had been staying at a hospital in the Umluj region, where she received conservative treatment due to the complexity of her health condition.

As her suffering continued, the patient’s son visited the outpatient clinics at Mouwasat Hospital Yanbu carrying her medical reports. Her condition was reviewed and assessed, and based on this evaluation, the decision was made to proceed with surgical intervention after a comprehensive assessment of her health status.

A multidisciplinary consultant team comprising specialists in orthopedics, anesthesia, cardiology, and internal medicine was formed to carefully evaluate the case and develop a treatment plan that addressed her health challenges and ensured her safety.

After completing the necessary examinations and medical preparations, Dr. Mohamed Hassan Alsaeed, Consultant in Orthopedic Surgery, successfully performed the operation. A cemented hemiarthroplasty of the hip was performed using an advanced technique in coordination with the relevant medical specialties.

By the grace of God, the operation was successful, and the patient was able to move her leg and walk on the same day after previously being bedridden and unable to move because of the fracture.

The positive impact of this improvement also extended to her psychological and emotional well-being, as she regained her confidence and sense of hope after a long period of suffering and limited mobility.
