New Medical Achievement at Al Jubail Industrial City Hospital help save the life of a thirty-year-old man.
The neurosurgery team at Al Jubail Industrial City Hospital succeeded in saving the life of a patient in his thirties who was suffering from a nuereological disturbance and paralysis on the left side of his body. The patient was brought to the emergency department at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Al Jubail Industrial City. The emergency medical team immediately dealt with his critical condition while performing the necessary radiological tests for diagnosis. The examination and radiological tests revealed a deep brain hemorrhage and ventricular bleeding resulting in cerebral edema.
The medical team, headed by Dr. Hossam El-Din Motawalli, a consultant in neurosurgery, immediately decided to perform an urgent surgery on the patient using the catheter technique to drain the accumulated bleeding in the brain ventricles and to treat the cerebral edema.
Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and the patient was placed under observation in the intensive care unit until he fully regained consciousness and his ability to move the left side of his body. His condition improved, and he was discharged from the hospital to resume his normal life.
Brain ventricle tumor surgeries are considered advanced procedures that require techniques based on microscopic and precise navigational devices inside the brain. It also requires highly experienced and precise human skills to use these techniques to deal with such cases. This falls in line with Al-Mouwasat Medical Services Company's vision to provide the highest levels of medical technologies, specialized professionals, and top-of-line medical care for all of our patients.
