A Couple’s Dream of Parenthood Comes True
The Fertility, Embryo, and Infertility Treatment Unit at Al Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam, under the supervision of Dr. Wadha Al Mahawesh, successfully helped a couple achieve their dream of parenthood after seven years of waiting.
The couple visited the fertility unit with a complaint of delayed pregnancy and repeated failed IVF attempts at other centers. After Dr. Wadha Al Mahawesh studied their case and performed the necessary tests, it was revealed that the wife had an autoimmune condition, as well as clotting factors that contributed to the failure or non-continuation of pregnancy. In addition, the husband had DNA fragmentation in his sperm.
As a result, the wife was subjected to a tailored treatment protocol, and the IVF procedure was performed in conjunction with a testicular biopsy for the husband to extract sperm cells with the help of a male infertility specialist. These sperm cells were then used in the IVF process. The embryos were genetically tested before implantation, and healthy embryos were transferred into the wife’s uterus.
Miraculously, the couple’s dream came true, and they were blessed with twin daughters.
It is noteworthy that this type of treatment relies on modern medical technology and highly trained medical staff, in line with Al Mouwasat Medical Services Company’s vision to recruit top talents in specialized fields and use the latest advanced medical technologies and equipment.
