Under the patronage of Mouwasat Medical Services Company, the 24th Arab Conference on Hospital Management was held from December 10 to 11, 2025, at Sheraton Muscat Hotel, under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al Sabti, Minister of Health of the Sultanate of Oman. under the theme:
"Modern Approaches in Hospital Management: The Role of Private and Third Sectors in Strengthening Health Systems."
The conference witnessed broad participation from Arab and international entities, including the WHO Regional Office, the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and leading academic and medical institutions, most notably Imperial College London.
The event brought together a distinguished group of experts and specialists in hospital management, health systems, and insurance companies.
Discussions focused on the latest administrative and technological methods to improve healthcare quality and the role of the private and third sectors in supporting the development of Arab health systems.
Sessions also highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships among various sectors to enhance operational efficiency and achieve sustainability in healthcare institutions.
Participants emphasized that keeping pace with modern developments in hospital management has become an urgent necessity to address global health challenges and strengthen the capabilities of Arab health systems.
They also stressed the importance of investing in digital transformation, developing human resources, and adopting international best practices.
Mouwasat Hospital Jubail achieved a new medical milestone as the Vascular Surgery team successfully performed a delicate surgical procedure to remove a rare and complex tumor in the carotid artery region of the neck. The tumor was classified as Shamblin III and was found in a 40-year-old patient who had been referred to the hospital after visiting several other hospitals due to the complexity of his condition.
The patient was suffering from symptoms caused by the size and extension of the tumor and its pressure on the surrounding tissues, requiring detailed medical and imaging assessments and the development of a specialized surgical plan.

The procedure was performed through a small access point via the femoral artery under local anesthesia and took only 35 minutes.

Following the operation, the patient underwent regular medical follow-up. His condition remained stable, with preservation of the kidney and its function, alongside a plan for periodic follow-up according to the pathological results and tumor stage.

The improvement was not limited to her health alone, as she regained her activity and returned to work regularly as a nurse after previously having to stop because of the impact of the disease on her health.
