Mouwasat Hospital in Madinah has obtained the international accreditation certificate from the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) in blood transfusion, in accordance with the internationally approved requirements in terms of donation, examination, separation of components, transportation and preservation of blood.
It is worth noting that the accreditation came as a result of the blood banks ’commitment to applying the highest quality standards blood supply and its derivatives during the donation process, examination, separation, processing, storage, adherence to the specifications of the American Organization of Blood Banks, and putting the patient's safety in the first place.
The American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) is considered the highest scientific body in the world which is authorized to grant accreditation to blood banks in the United States of America and around the world.
