The Success of a Laparoscopic Myomectomy Surgery for a Woman at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Al-Qatif
Through the grace of god, the medical team at Al-Moassat Hospital in Al-Qatif successfully performed a laparoscopic myomectomy surgery for a woman who was suffering from severe pelvic pain and continuous bleeding during and after her menstrual cycle. The surgery involved the removal of a 7cm uterine fibroid along with a dermoid cyst.
After a thorough examination of the case at the outpatient clinic, under the supervision of Dr. Walid Khalaf, Consultant and Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, the necessary MRI scans were conducted to confirm the presence of the fibroid and dermoid cyst. Following this, the patient was admitted and the required laparoscopic surgery was performed to remove the fibroid and dermoid cyst from the ovary.
The excision of the dermoid cyst is considered one of the most challenging procedures performed using laparoscopic surgery, requiring precision and high surgical skills.
The surgery was successful, and the patient did not require any blood transfusion. She was discharged after two days in good health and well-being.
It is worth mentioning that this type of surgery relies on modern medical technology and highly trained medical staff who adhere to the vision of Al-Moassat Medical Services Company in attracting highly skilled and specialized professionals as well as the latest advanced medical techniques and equipment employed in this field.
