A Successful Resection of a Spinal Cord Tumor of a Young Man in Mouwasat Al-Riyadh
Proudly the Department of Neurosurgery at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Riyadh successfully eradicated a pendulous tumor inside the spinal cord of a patient at his late twenties. The young man was suffering from intestinal constant pain and inability to move normally.
After examining the case and making an MRI scan, Dr. Youssef Yassin, a consultant neurosurgeon, found that the patient suffers from a hemangioma or hemangioma, and immediately a spinal angioma was performed to exclude the presence of a hemangioma. After that, the tumor was removed through a successful surgical operation to preserve the vertebral arches under electrophysiological control of neurological functions, which helped to complete the process without any neurological defects.
After the surgery, the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit for one day under observation, then he was transferred to a private room until he recovered and was discharged from the hospital in good health to practice his normal life.
It is worth noting that this type of operation is considered to be the most advanced and reliant on modern medical technology, which goes in line with the vision of Al-Mouwasat Medical Services in attracting competencies and subspecialties and providing the latest technologies and medical equipment in this field.
