Information: You have the RIGHT to:

  • Know the hospital's mission, vision and core values.
  • Know which health care professionals are primarily responsible for your care.
  • Be kept fully informed of your diagnosis, treatment plan, possible significant complications or side effects.
  • Be informed of the benefits, risk and techniques of all treatments and procedures before signing a consent form.
  • Be told of the expected cost of any recommended treatment.
  • Know an alternative source of care and services when the hospital can not provide this type of care or services.
  • Be informed about how you can make a complaint if you feel that your care process was not handled properly.
  • To have all information explained to you in a way that you can understand.

Safety and Security: You have the RIGHT to:

  • Be protected from physical assaults.
  • Expect reasonalbe level of protection of your possession from thefts or loss.

Privacy and Confidentiality: You have the right to:

  • Have privacy of all examination, procedures and treatment.
  • Be assured of confidentiality with regards to medical and social information.
  • To expect that your health record and all types of communications about your care will be treated as confidential.

You are responsible for:

  • Observing MH rules regarding patients' behavior.
  • Being considerate of other patients by observing their right to privacy.
  • Being respectful of your personal property and that of other persons in the hospital.
  • Observing no smoking rule of the hospital.
  • Observing no mobile phone usage rules of the hospital.
  • Observing no patient visiting hours of the hospital.
  • Providing MH health care professionals with complete & accurate information about your medical condition.
  • Giving the hospital all necessary information they will need about the payment of your medical care.
  • Responsible to report pain to health care professionals.
  • Following the treatment plan recommended by your health care professionals.
  • Taking all prescribed medication, as advised by Mouwasat Hospital Healthcare Providers.
  • Keeping your appointments and rescheduling them in case of inability to attend.
  • Informing your healthcare professional, if you are unable to follow the recommended plan.
  • Making sure that you understand any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure that will be done for you before signing informed consent.
  • Accepting responsibililty for any deterioration in your health caused by refusing recommended treatment.
